The name says it all for this newly opened women’s boutique called Rachel’s — The Styles To Love.
Located next to the Old Towne Grinder at 173 North Glassell, Rachel’s is the third store for the renowned proprietor who goes solely by the name of Rachel. With two successful women’s clothing shops on Balboa Island, she has attracted a loyal following since 1997, including cast members from the “Real Housewives of Orange County” who patronize her flagship shop called Amore.
Here in Old Towne, the inventory highlights classic everyday wear, says Rachel, whose exclusive line of beautifully feminine clothing is a true hit with the local community.
“For a little store, it’s a one-stop shop,” says Rachel. “We make our own clothing here in the U.S.A. I’m even planning to manufacture Made in the U.S.A shoes. The workmanship and fabrics are so much better here than in China.”
At just 300 square feet, the artfully merchandised boutique includes dresses, purses, crocheted sweaters, basic undergarment tanks, pretty necklaces and bracelets and even designer flip-flops. She also offers pieces from her Amore collection, such as crochet lace dresses that can also be found at ShopAmoreStyle.com.
A longtime resident of Tustin, Rachel has always wanted to have a shop in Old Towne. One day she was in town for lunch and saw the For Rent sign. Her grand opening took place three months ago. Rachel’s positive and sunny personality is reflected in the shop’s colorful décor, including bright pink floors and a zebra “fur” counter.
“We made such a cute store out of it,” she says. “It’s the perfect addition to the block.”
Considering her unabashed love for life, it’s no wonder that Rachel included the word “love” in the name of her store. (FYI: customers who mention the secret password “lots of love” get a 15 percent discount.)
